I'll take a case of black pins, please.

While most people bring me t-shirts from their travels (they know I never go anywhere and feel sorry for me), one of my 'bosses' thinks outside of the box.  She recently went to a conference in New Orleans and brought me this:

I apologize for the poor quality of the photograph, as it was taken with my phone.  It is a Voodoo doll.  Complete with one White Pin (Good Wishes for friends) and one Black Pin (Evil Wishes for non-friends).  I have pinned it up (with neutral green and yellow tacks) near my computer.  I feel humbled by the power that has been handed me.  Her youngest daughter, G, who draws me pictures and entertains me no-end when she's in the office, was quite upset that her mother was giving me this powerful totem of good and evil.  I had to call her to tell her that I was okay and that I was only going to use it as a decoration.  Mwwwahahaha.

What a clever idea for a gift. She must be a pretty good boss!

Oh my, the possibilities. Only one pin, I have a few that would need more than one pin ;)

Jane - I know! That's why I need a whole BOX of black pins!

Judy - Of course, I should order a box of white pins, just to be fair. Isn't it the greatest thing ever?

What a great gift! (She must be a good boss otherwise she'd never give something like that to you . . . think of the damage you could do to HER!) Well, pins or not just having it hanging there on your wall and knowing you have the power (Bwahahaha!) to use it if necessary . . . I'm just glad I'm on your good side. Susan? I am, aren't I? Hey! Susan? Are you there???

Do they make pins with match-heads on them for those really, REALLy bad days???

Mama Pea - It's white pins for you all the way!

Erin - you, too.

Carolyn - Wow! Are you having one of those days? I wonder if third party voodoo works...
