I still have things that will be coming out of the laundry/tool/garden/brooder room. But major headway was made and I can walk in without getting a serious case of claustrophobia. The bag of seed starter soil will be making its way to the seed flats soon. The storage bins on the brooder frame will be emptied (into other bins) and the brooder will be set up for the meat chicks, due to arrive in April. I still need to go through my tools and hardware, but at least they are reasonably organized and I will not be spending way too much time searching for things.
It's one of those "conundrums", isn't it?
ReplyDeleteIt's all stuff you NEED and USE on a regular basis-so it should be kept right at hand. But yea......a bit overwhelming.
Ya done good!
Sue - I have a small house with no garage, so every room is multi-purpose. What gets me is how long I let it go - even though it drives me mad!
DeleteThat would be my utility room/coat room/Son's closet room/pantry/every else room. Ha! I do need to get mine back in shape before planting season.
ReplyDeleteKristina - This may be the first year I am ahead of the gardening curve. Although it's early yet...
DeleteLet's face it . . . we all NEED a room like that but about three times as big as we actually have! (Wouldn't that be wonderful?!) Considering it's only the end of February and your chicks aren't arriving until April and seedlings can't be started much before that, I'd say you are truly ahead of what needs to be done. Sending three gold stars your way. ;o]
ReplyDeleteMama Pea - Isn't that the truth? We just have to pull up our BGPs and deal with what we got, right?
DeleteLooking good.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gail!
DeleteSusan,
ReplyDeleteNicely done Susan!!! You know exactly where things are and you're ready for when spring officially arrives.
Sandy - I'm trying to stay one step ahead of my usual self this year. We'll see how I do.
DeleteWow, I'm impressed! Good job
ReplyDeleteThanks, Suz!
DeleteSusan - you did great with your organizing! and it seems you will be all set when april hits! i am very much looking forward to spring.
ReplyDeleteyour friend,
kymber
Kymber - Thank you, my dear. I am now girding my loins (so to speak) to tackle the craft/knitting/office/seedling room.
DeleteGreat job organizing. Trouble is...my whole house looks like your before picture. If we were robbed we wouldn't know it. But there's hope, and another day. I'll worry about it tomorrow :-)
ReplyDeleteI loved the idea of bins when they first started to appear....oh a good way to keep things tidy and you can see whats in each bin right? right! Nope I just find i put things in bins an Know I will remember which bin they are in....inevitably the things I need are in the bin at the back and under all the other bins! Farm life seems to have so much stuff you need! You have done a super job!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! Such a good feeling to be able to find things quickly. Good job!
ReplyDeleteI find a good cleaning and organizing to be quite cathartic. Looking good!
ReplyDeleteExcellent job!
