There is just something so compelling about turkey poults. Their feet : body ratio is out of whack. They have BIG dark eyes (that look very intelligent, IMHO). They have small heads. They have that funny, fleshy blob on top of their beaks. Their wing feathers grow straight out at an awkward angle. And yet, and yet....
I just want to give them a little squeeze and a smooch on their pin heads. Neither of which they appreciate.
I need to get out more.

I agree with the cuteness factor, even though I've never had these particular birds myself. I can tell from your gratuitous baby poultry picture that they are worthy of hugs and kisses. I don't think you need to get out more. I think others maybe need to come in and see what we see? ;)
You just can't resist getting and raising new "somethings," can you? You're such a nurturer! I have to ask . . . are these four turkeys destined for a . . . um . . . a specific meal at some point in the future?
Susan,
I would be hesitant to get to close to my birds if I had them because I know they would be on the table for Thanksgiving and Christmas :-)
They are adorable though!!!
Baby anything's are cute and it makes you want to love on them!!! Especially Lambs, Goats, Kittens, Puppies, OK, OK ALL BABIES, are just sooo Cute!
Have to admit, I was thinking it, but you said the last line ;-) They are pretty cute.
Aw cute! How can you eat them then :( Ah well, they'll grow out of their cuteness :)
