The fizz has gone flat.

I, apparently, have lost my fizz.  After numerous attempts to rekindle the blog, I'm throwing in the BGPs.  Will I get my fizz back?  Let's hope so.  Much self-analysis has been going on behind the scenes, with topics such as:  living someone else's life, living with ghosts, total deviation from my life plan, days filled with vet visits and repairs to the family home.  I have even considered (and am still considering) hiring a shaman to intone through the house bearing bunches of burning sage.  None of this has helped with the writer's block.

So, my little dumplings, I am going to officially put the blog on hold (instead of taking the coward's approach by ignoring it) until such time that I am refizzed.

Sweezie xoxo

I have missed your sense of humor and outlook on life & wondered how you are doing. I suspect your blogger friends mostly understand the current challenges and many of us have trod a similar path before you. Different phases in life require us to pivot and change (sometimes kicking and screaming all the way). Here's to hoping to hear from you again when your journey takes you to the other side of the tunnel. Hugs from Texas.

I hope you will continue to visit other blogs, even if you don't carry on writing , yourself.
And maybe one day....

Oh dear, sorry to hear your fizz has disappeared. Sounds like your major life change at retirement is not being conducive to writing. Perhaps things will settle down in time and your writer's block will resolve itself. I hope so! In the meantime, wishing you all the best and hope to read you again some day, Susan!

I was so excited when I saw a post from you! But I understand, when it becomes a chore and the spark is gone, it’s hard to keep doing something. Take care and I’m sure the blog world will welcome you back should you decide to return! - Jenn

As someone who repeatedly ignores her own blog for long stretches, my advice is to do what works for you right now. Hugs to all your furred friends (includes you especially if they are shedding).

I've known you were alive from the 'hearts' left on my Instagram posts, but I do so miss your commentary on life and your wonderful sense of humor as shared here on your blog. Can I pray you'll get recarbonated, or is that just selfish on my part?

I'll miss your always entertaining posts but know there is a right time for everything in our lives and if your blogging just doesn't feel right at this time, you shouldn't do it. Don't feel badly about your decision. Things always change. Hugs to you and your four-footed companions!

Well, I understand, but I do hope you come back sometime. There's nothing wrong with letting the blog "snooze" and returning when you feel ready! In any case, take care, Susan! :)

Oh, no!

It sounds like you are saying that living in the old family home may not be a good fit. Just because it’s there does not mean you have to stay there. When I took in a lot of my aunt’s stuff after she went into assisted living, I felt like I was being taken over by her life. I figured out I really didn’t want all her stuff so I donated it to get my own life and perspective back. It took me a while but it was for the best.

Do whatever it takes and good luck 👍
