Oooh la la!

Have I got a giveaway por vous!  In having a serious sit-me-down with my knitting books, I have decided to let a few go out to someone who will do more with them than ogle their pages.

Here's the first:

I was swept right in with the beautiful photography and lovely patterns.  Once the swoony part wore off, I realized that this book was a) out of my league - talentwise, and b) none of the lovely, girly patterns would be serviceable on the farm.  (**UPDATED**)  This book of patterns includes hats, shawls, gloves, socks and lots of other beautiful patterns!

If any of yall out there have some knitting skills and would love to create one of these beautiful designs, put your name in the comments - along with anything French that comes to mind.  I will be pulling a winner out of the chapeau on Friday.

Bon chance!

I'm from northern NY and found your blog doing searches for blog that are homesteaders.
I'll be 58 on Saturday and my husband is 59 and we have our home up for sale so we can get an off grid home with some acreage. It will be quite an adventure.
I wonder if we are anywhere near you?
FRENCH?
WE?

I knit, but I have yet to try my hands at hats. Go ahead and enter me.

Cool giveaway! Unless I knit one of the French hats in blaze orange (hunting season, you know) I probably couldn't wear it around ye ol' homestead, but the hat would be fun to offer as a giveaway on my blog, no?

Something French? French toast. What?? That's not what you meant? (Hee-hee.)

Hey, Susie! Heck, you two are youngsters - and it helps to have two, believe me. I am near Albany - sort of Northeast of it, if that helps.

Hi, Kristina - This books has lots of lovely accessories - from hats to shawls to lacy gloves and socks. I will put you in.

Mama Pea - Heck! Why didn't I think of that - blaze orange would be perfect.

Name in hat; have loved the glimpses I've seen of the patterns in this book. I follow a French food blog (in English); does that count?
