On Patrol.

We have been diligently doing our neighborly duty every morning now.  No more tresspasser sightings.  The dogs have been working on their macrame - or that's what it seems like after tangling and untangling their leashes a gazillion times.

I would usually let Scrappy run (relative term at his age) off leash, but we were heading back and once he gets his 'home' in his vision, he does not look right or left.  Kids.

I'm like that towards the end of a long trip---tunnel vision---HOME.
What a wonderful looking spot for a walk.....

Nice walking route! A girlfriend of mine had three (or was it four?!) dogs and used to call their morning walks "Doggie Macrame" too!

Susan,

Great way to keep trespassers away!!! Beautiful walking route.
This has to be so relaxing for you.

"No more trespasser sightings?" What did I miss? How in the world do you have time (and the light) for dog walking in the morning? I thought you had to leave for work at 0-dark-thirty?!

Sue - It is a lovely walk and a lot of it is uphill. That is great for me, but the short one poops out quickly and I have to carry him! He already has me trained.

Carolyn - No matter what I try, it still is a tangled mess. I have to practice a lot of deep breathing, since it's counter-productive to go swearing through the nice, calming nature walk.

Sandy - Other than the dog macrame, it is so lovely and relaxing. I love listening to the birds and listening for bears... :)

Mama Pea - This is the woodlot road belonging to my neighbors (late 80s). An apparently homeless couple have been parking on the road (leaving tons of nasty litter) - I came across them twice and now I am diligently walking up there every morning. I have to squeeze in a walk every day and early morning is the only convenient time!

Thanks for clearing up the trespasser thing. I wonder if you could invent a thingy for keeping the leashes under control...and sell it...and make a fortune.

Susan - I am still working on a poultry waterer that is easy to clean. Once I get that in the bag, I may work on the Non-Macrame Leash!

There is a connector piece for two dogs, it is about a foot long with snap on each end and ring in the middle to connect leash to. Used in showing in brace class. It makes the dogs walk side by side works good on same size dogs might give it a try.
