Well, thanks to a nasty little virus hidden in one of the comments I published, my email account was hacked. So...to those of you on my email list, please disregard any group email that you may have received. I NEVER send group emails. Nor do I believe that green coffee beans are the cure-all for weight problems.
Sigh.
I am back to verification. Just a word of caution to those who moderate their comments - did NOT see this coming, as nothing seemed different about this comment (which was from a regular commenter/or). There are times when I do dislike technology soooo much. Then I realize I would be cut off from the ones I've grown to love...
So. My laptop has been cleansed. I hope. But I am still struggling with the new operating system which, quite frankly, stinks. I am taking the computer back to the TechDoc for more cleaning, de-bugging, scrubbing and whatever.
Technology is a lot like potato chips. Can't live with it. Can't live without it.

Oh gosh. I hope it wasn't me! Very sorry if it was.
That just happened to me too but it wasn't for coffee beans. It was for viagra related products. I went and changed my passwords for everything. I hope that fixes it. Luckily, it looks like all the emails came back undeliverable. Whew! But, I have no idea how it happened or where it came from. I worked with a help desk for an hour this morning trying to get into my email.
Oh my goodness. I better watch mine better.
TM - No, you're safe.... :)
ATO - Looks like Google/Blogger better get their techs on the job! It is a total pain. It took me a half hour to figure out how to change my password and then I did a virus clean of my entire computer.
Kristina - I did not spot it - it was, apparently, imbedded in one of the comments sent for approval. It is a real pain in the patootie.
Scary! I hate that this happened, but it will sure keep us all on our toes after your warning.
(and please tell me it wasn't in anything that I've commented on!)
you know, i have started to change my passwords on a pretty regular basis. it's a pain but so is hacking. i go a bit crazy when i have computer problems!
FWIW, it was easy to tell it was a suspicious link, so no harm done here.
So sorry to hear this.
I actually put comments back into my blog--and after one post, have come to regret that decision.
I cannot fathom why people do this. It's a whole new level of mean and shows a sorry state of the world.
I'm so sorry you got hacked. As much as I dislike the word verification, I don't blame you for reinstating it. Good luck with cleaning up the laptop.
Sorry, that's sad. Happened to me too, but I just changed my password, problem solved....
Ugh! I don't have word verification and haven't had any problems. Fingers crossed! Hopefully, your computer tune up will fix the problem.
Oh Susan, what a horrible thing to have happen. It's a good warning for us to heed, however.
