Eureka!

I've found the cure for drought!  Forget your rain dances - all I have to do is take a vacation day to run errands all over God's Green Earth.  It rained in sheets yesterday - Hurry!  Do not wait -- I only have two more weeks left.  Sign up now!

Scrappy has been relegated to house clown.  I was thinking of adding some ruffles.  Too much?  One of the cats - OnceSlim - is terrified of him in his new get-up and will only walk on the counters or furniture if Scrappy is in the same room.  What a bunch of nuts.

Why do you mock me?

At least it's not one of those huge cones they used to use--"The Cone of Silence"!
I found a cure for drought that works pretty well here---have the grandson up from AZ so he can PLAY OUTSIDE ALL WEEK (too hot where he lives). Rains every day. Crap!

Aww, poor pooch. Poor freaked out kitty.
Good for us and photo ops though :)

Congratulations on getting some rain, even if it did come on errand day.
Poor Scrappy, he looks so humiliated! Ruffles would probably drive the cat right over the edge though! LOL!!

Susan,

Poor Scrappy, oh and to put ruffles, I think Scrappy will be walking around with his tail between his legs if he has to wear ruffles, lol

Rain, wooohoooo.....I'm happy to hear you received rain. I would love to get some more here, it's so dry.

Poor Scrappy. He looks so embarrassed. Congrats on the rain though!

Hoorah for rain! All it took for it to rain for us was to leave the state for a week! But at least I didn't have to worry about asking my chicken sitters to water things for me. But, OH! The weeds have taken over everything!!

I have just found your blog courtesy of Countin the Days. Our friends are watching aghast as we happily leave the city for a darling little spot two ferries from civilization.
Not combing one's hair-I have started checking to make sure I have my pants on before getting into the car.
Licence plates-I have trouble posting to other sites when they have those security letters and numbers because I can't help trying to make sense of them. I will be following you.

Poor kid - did he get any outdoor time?

I caught OnceSlimmie going into full attack mode - just before he pounced on Scrappy's whoopie cushion necklace. That would have been ugly in so many ways....

Susan said...

He needs all the luck he can get!

Yes - we got two inches in two days. It's a good start. Isn't it great? So much better than The Cone.

Susan said...

Candy - you are so right. I don't think OnceSlimmie could stand the ruffles. It would be too much for him.

You're right. It would be the ultimate humiliation and he is such a good boy. I am so glad to have had what we did, even if it is too little too late for most everything. I'm sending rain vibes in your direction.

Susan said...

Doesn't he? But he's such a good sport!

Too bad they can't cross vegetables with weeds. It would be a perfect match, since the weeds keep growing in too much rain, too little rain, no matter what!

Hi Susan! I love that -- two ferries from civilization. I will have to trot over to visit your blog. Those verification/I am not a robot numbers/letters are totally diabolical! Thank you for following me!!!

Drought is but a distant memory here now, we have had pouring down rain every afternoon and evening for going on over 2 weeks. The yard is a mess and never dries out, and the mosquitoes, ugh!! I want to send some your way :)
