The Package.

When I got home on Monday, there was a big box in front of my door.  I could tell by the hand lettered address and return, plus the gazillion stamps of "Fragile" all over it, that my Krazo Acres winnings had arrived!

Carolyn Renee had sent us kitty litter! Did Black Susan have something
up her furry sleeve?
No -- she sent eggs!  How sweet - I'm still at "0".
NO!  She sent a beautiful teapot and a plethora of tea bags!!!
I had to make sure it was okay for me to post the complete details -- but I tell you, Carolyn Renee is a woman after my own heart!  That box was packed so well - and so "greenly" - that an elephant could have used it as a cushion and the teapot would have survived!  Recycling, reusing and using up is my motto.  I have returned items that have been over packaged with non-recyclable materials before.  But this was perfect!  I have a feeling that Mooberry Farmwife will be seeing a very similar package!

Thank you Carolyn Renee!  The teapot is beautiful (I LOVE the color) and those are all of my favorite teas -- plus some that will become favorites, I'm sure.

p.s.  The outer wrapping was a brown grocery bag - which I have already re-purposed as a pattern for yet another craft project!  Yay!

Is that teapot orange? An orange teapot? Love it! You got a really nice package to open, you lucky gal.

Love the orange teapot. I bet there is a loose leaf "holder" inside it?? I think you should have some green tea in your orange pot :-)

Mama Pea - Yes, Ma'am! It is a beautiful shade of orange, which happens to be one of my favorite colors.

dr momi - Alas, I think that green tea tastes like grass water, but not as good. I know, I know, it has good health properties, but I have not met a green tea I can choke down.

Anja - Wellkommen! I may have to sew an apron to match my new teapot!

Confession: I LOVE teapots and that orange teapot is to die for! What a lovely surprise for you. And I love the ingenious packing.

I am not overly fond of green tea myself, on a scale of all the teas I DO like, but I've been coming around to it lately. I'll drink just about anything hot when it's cold out!

Jenyfer - I do like tea, but I am rather pedestrian about it. But that orange teapot is the greatest! Maybe it will make the green tea palatable...

Carolyn Renee - OMG - you speak CAT, too?

What a great teapot! I'm sure you will have fun sampling all those wonderful teas! I must admit that I'm not a fan of green tea either! ;-)

Ha! Green tea haters of America . . . UNITE! I'm like some of the rest of you. I try so hard to find it palatable because it's so good for you but I keep coming back to the same sentiment. BLECH!

But I still adore the orange teapot!

Haha all you green tea haters!! I used to hate it too!! I will have to do a post on green tea and how to make it so it tastes good. You'll love it! Not all green teas are the same :-) Anyway, Susan....count me in on apron making. All this talk of duct tape makes me think I must be able to do something LOL!

It's been a while since I've done it, but there's a particular way you are supposed to brew green tea vs. black tea that might just make the difference... Best green tea I ever had was at a Chinese restaurant in Cairo - that was good stuff!
