Oh, the indignity of it all!

Poor Scrappy!  There he was, curled up on the sofa, swaddled in his favorite fleece blankie, when Kramer decided he would make a nice mattress and climbed on top of him!  Scrappy was not happy at all with this, but he was soooo warm and comfortable, he decided not to move.  He has a very expressive face and managed to convey how indignant he was using only his eyes and eyebrows.  What a hoot!  It didn't impress Kramer at all and he fell sound asleep.  They maintained that pose for over an hour - until I made some noise in the kitchen and Scrappy rocketed off the couch to see if it meant FOOD.

  1. Kramer knows a good warm spot when he sees it.
Scrappy has the patience of a saint....

  2. A great picture! Sure does put the kabosh on the old belief that dogs and cats hate each other. Well, maybe Scrappy had some less than noble thoughts run through his head but . . .

  4. Judy - that sounds like my dog and cat ... LOL

Susan - that is the cutest picture, I'm not sure my dog would stay still ... she will rarely share the couch with me.

  5. Sue - Yes, he is a snuggle-bunny. Scrappy is, ahem, slightly less than a saint. But he IS Bert Lahr in a dog suit!

Mama Pea - Oh, yes. I am sure that Scrappy was having very IGnoble thoughts of Kramer at that moment (and most of the time).

Judy - They must be twins!

  8. What slackers you have there. Taking a snooze in the middle of a work day. And all curled up in a blankie? Yes Susan's pets have a hard life ;)

I better not let mine see this. They may want one of those cat heating pads with optional cat.

  10. Oh, how funny! We had a dog that would allow our cat to climb on top of him, and make faces and groan when she started kneading his back with her claws. Ouch!

  11. How funny! I love both my dog and cat, but they barely tolerate each other. At night with the both of them on the bed, It's as you put it "A HOOT"! Luke (the cat) loves to attack Daisy's (the dog)tail and the chase is on! But they never leave the bed! KIDS!!!!!

  12. Too sweet! I'd have loved to have seen Kramer's face when Scrappy jumped off the couch!

  13. Jane - Ah, yes, what a strenuous life they lead! Having to remind me to feed them (constantly) to let them out, to tuck them in...they have me well-trained.

Candy - Scrappy suffers the cats' existence. I am sure he thinks we would be better off without them.

Lori - Ouch! is right! Scrappy would not put up with that abuse, I'll tell you. He tolerates them at best.

Tom - I guess that is why some people insist on calling them "fur kids".

Ruth - It would serve him right! I would guess he is missing one of his nine lives...
