The Mujere Mojo Lives On!!!

My cell phone rang at 11PM last night - luckily, I had decided to put it on the nightstand, right next to my ear.  Otherwise, I would have missed the crickets (my ringtone).  Sage had her kids!!  Two doelings!!!  The LLF Female Mojo Rules!!!  The midwife - extraordinary herdswoman that she is - had been checking on her every half hour and, of course, when her back was turned and it started to pour, Sage went into gear.  She said that she was inside, with the television on, rain hitting the roof and STILL heard the kids.  Apparently, they inherited their mother's vocal chords.

I present Sage and her Stinkin Cute Kids:

At first glance, they are identical, although on closer inspection, one has black ears and one has white ears.  They are beautiful, with great confirmation and ADORABLE.  Sage let me pick them up - although, after 10 minutes I think she thought I was not going to give them back.  She was very close to being right.  She even let me give her a good back scratch without bolting out the door.  Chickie, although dazed, is being the perfect Uncle.  Everyone is nursing well and Sage is a terrific first-time mother.  I am dazed myself.

WOOHOO! Two GIRLS! They are beautiful, and I WANT one! (Good thing, at times like these, that I am too far away for a road trip to meet my blogpals. ;-)

Mama Pea - AnnMarie is starting Sage on Milking 101 today - who's better? I am in a race to fix the fencing and clean out the barn before they can come home. Guess what I'm doing this weekend??

Michelle - Aren't they adorable? When you hold them, they just snuggle under your chin. Squeeeee. And I'm not the squealing type! I am very thankful that everything went smoothly and all three are thriving.

TWO doelings!?! You DO have the female mojo! Remind me to get some of that from you next kidding season.

And yes, they ARE unbelievably stinking cute.

Carolyn - I know, right? It's insane. I'd try to bottle it, but I'm sure I'd jinx myself.

And I would just like to say that Sage looks so slim and trim a day after. Now if you could bottle THAT.....

Congratulations Goat Grandma!!!!

Jane - Sage looked at me like, "OMG, I am so glad to have them on the OUTSIDE!" She's quite a trooper and amazing for a first timer. I love being a Goat Grandma... :)

Congratulations, Grandma/Auntie! They sure are cuties. What will happen to the babies, to they become part of your herd forever and ever?

In this world of awful news and world events, I am so thankful for GOATS! So cute! I think we need a media network that just covers goats 24/7, now that's news I would watch :)
