Please join me in a warm and enthusiastic round of applause for all of the good-natured, highly talented entrants in this challenge! A little whistling and foot-stamping would be appreciated by all, if you're so inclined.
Jenyfer - who shows that creative+vintage= marvelous!
Mama Pea - not only does creative talent abound in the "Pea" family - but she sure is photogenic!
Full Freezer - Judy may have hated the process, but you could never tell by the end product - beautiful apron!
Hard Work Homestead - Well, could we expect anything less from Jane? She never ceases to amaze me.
Garden Now - Think Later - Erin once again whips out perfection - while proclaiming she is an amateur. Are we buying that? No way! I love the fabric!!!
Candy - I will have to say that another abundance of talent resides at the Lazy J Bar C Ranch! Have you ever seen such an amazing color/fabric/pattern combination? It's wonderful!
Krazo Acres - Hello? Could someone clue me in about what on Earth Carolyn Renee is complaining? Not only did she make her apron (with RUFFLES, for Heaven's sake), but she made a SECOND apron for her daughter! And does she even realize how becoming her apron is compared to MINE? I mean, mine is guaranteed to make it's wearer bear a strong resemblance to an air-to-ground missile. With as many curves. You did an amazing job, CR - and you are as cute as a bug, too. Just as I suspected!
As more entrants make themselves known, I will post updates. Thank you all for making it so much fun! We should now be "covered" for Thanksgiving!

Love the apron and also so nice to see you, Susan! :)
Ha! Someone did do a duct tape apron! Too funny! And are you going to wear it for Thanksgiving??....my post is up -- non-sewed too :-) Thanks for hosting this Susan, it was fun!
I LOVE IT!!!!! And just think how everything will just bounce off of it like a kitchen mess forcefield. It is perfect. I do think we will be seeing something just like this coming down the runway at fashion week next season. You saw it here first folks.
Wow! Of course, you know we will have to hide you from all the homestead hubbies who think the world revolves around duct tape! Too cool!
Love it, Love it, Love it!!!
Easy to wipe those pesky spatters off! But I wouldn't recommend getting too close to that oven door- it may melt a bit...
I am truly impressed by the ruffles!!
Judy
Omigawd! That is the funniest thing I have ever seen. Leave it to you to come up with the creativeness to do that! The shape ain't that bad . . . I would like to point out that it does sort of highlight (feature? draw attention to?) your . . . uh, um, er . . . bazoom area. You win the prize in my book!
Regarding your comment that I am photogenic . . . I am so NOT photogenic. You see, in real life I look EXACTLY like Audrey Hepburn. Oh wait. She's dead.
LOVE IT! The only thing to make it cuter is the fluffy / feathery mules, some red lipstick, and a feather duster :)
MF - Thank you - I am not one for photographs of myself, so it took a glass of wine and some insistence by Sylvia to make me do it.
dr momi - Oh, do I LOVE your apron. I'm setting up the next post now!
Jane - Thank you!!! Yes, I can see it now -- and it looks scary!
Hoosier Girl - You know, I think, somehow, homestead hubbies are quite happy with their non-duct-taped homestead wives. (And rightly so!)
Judy - I used the cheapest duct tape I could get my hands on - I bet if I stood too near an open flame, it would go up in a nanosecond.
Mama Pea - Boy, I could have used this apron when I was 16! I stand by my opinion and cannot be moved from it. So there. Audrey ;-)
Jenyfer - I'll keep that in mind, in case the right fella comes along....
Wow! That actually looks a whole lot more difficult than sewing and apron, but what a great conversation piece you've got now! You are one tallented gal. Happy Thanksgiving week!
Pure AWESOMENESS!!! LOL! If it actually kind of reminds me of a "kinder, gentler" butchering apron or TX chainsaw massacre waiting to happen... kinder because of the hearts and ruffles! So awesome! I can't stop giggling now!
That apron is E'ffn WICKED! I bet you could auction that puppy off as some sort of trendy new-runway (fashion runway, not airport.....but I suppose either would work!) fashion of the new year!
I cannot even begin to guess how many cuss words I would come up with if I had to make ruffles out of duct tape. Can you imagine the directions those "Easy Pattern" people would have come up with on your apron??
You, my friend, take the cake!!
OMG! I love it, I love it, I LOVE it!! What a creative mind to come up with this and the RUFFLES!! I need to go check out everyone else's aprons right now! :)
Ha! Love it. Nice work. Happy Thanksgiving!
Patty - I do hope the chemical smell wears off...
Erin - OMG! That is so funny! Yes, do away with them -- in style!
CR - I don't know, I think it's more in tune with an airport runway, don't you? Yes, there were many fruit names flying over four nights.
Candy - I owe the ruffle business to Carolyn Renee. I wouldn't have tackled it without her brave example.
Linday - Thanks! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving as well.
Excellent, excellent, excellent! Everyone is so gosh darn talented...even if they try to say they aren't. :) And its nice to have a face to put with the bloggers who are so often faceless. Well, you know...except for Jane, who I'm starting to think doesn't have a face. ;)
