Sorta Kinda Likea Mass Giveaway. Ish.

In a burst of energy (albeit a minuscule one), I went through bookcase number one and gleaned some interesting castoffs.  Here's what we're going to do.  I am going to list them (with pictures).  You are going to peruse (or not) and leave a comment (or not) with the number of the book you'd like.  I will formulate some sort of magical voodoo scientific method of randomly choosing multiple winners.  This should be fun for the math-challenged me.  Cut-off date is Tuesday.  Winners will be announced on Thursday.

1.  Slim hardback books from 1954 - Gourmet Cookery and Casseroles

2.  A Must-Have for Bird Lovers!

3.  Not just Biscuits! Charming hardcover with basket making 'recipes' too.

4.  Basic but still a good resource - pass it on to a newbie canner!

5.  "Serve up a piece of the past as you savor the flavors of farm country cooking".

6.  Small farmers and localvores, take heart!
So, there you go.  Have fun and have a great weekend!

Oh, I want #5, #5, #5! How simple did I make it? Where have I seen that book before? No, I don't have already it, honest. Did I almost order it once? Dunno. I just know I want it.

P.S. I am sooooooooo happy I can post on your sight now. So happy! Ha-ppy, ha-appy!

I love old farm cookbooks, but number 3 looks good to me too. I'm taking a basket weaving class next month...

I'm not trying to be contrary to what everyone else is coveting, but I really like 1, 2, and 6! Really, I do!
#1 - I love the 50's look, and I cant wait to see what is considered "gourmet"!
#2 - Unless this book contains things like the pinecone-peanut-butter-birdseed feeder, I have no idea why someone would name their book "FOR" the birds.
#6 - sustainable food communities? Hmmm...

(The others look like great fun, too!)

I'll say #1 since I'm a sucker for 50's housewife stuff LOL!

My comment was eaten! I like the looks of #1 and I too can't wait to see what was considered "gourmet" in the 50s. Probably something much snootier than mandarins in jello...

Yay, more books! Speaking of math, how many bookshelves do you have left to decllutter? Just wondering about my odds here ;) I, too, have my eyes on #5! (with #4 as a close second)
