I will spare you the gory details of the continuing vendetta in Me vs. Winter. Suffice to say, I did not make it into the office - again - leaving me with one less vacation day to enjoy NOT SHOVELING. Car at garage. Eight plus inches of snow and more to come. Did I mention high winds? Dinner group - cancelled. That leaves me, six lemon chess tarts, one baguette, a lasagna for 12, and a bottle of red wine. Alone together. Unchaperoned. My, what a dangerous combination...
I am tired of winter - tired of thinking of it, of dealing with it, of whining about it. I am going to go look for my spring door wreath and put it up, dagnabit.

I think a lemon chess tart or two could make me forget about winter for awhile. :-) Of course, then I would NEED to shovel snow to burn off all those calories!!!
Wait! Don't freeze that lasagna yet. I'm on my way! Lemon chess tarts . . . oh, be still my heart.
Oh no! Sorry your evening was cancelled - Mama Pea is right, I'd be on my way too if you were closer! I said I'd bring the boys, they can shovel outside while we eat Lemon Chess Tarts and drink wine LOL
I know someone who can help you with all those tarts...and the bottle of wine. :) Sorry your plans got canceled. That Ol' Man Winter really needs to give up the fight!
Oh so sorry to hear about that-it certainly sounds like you'd have a LOT of help eating all that--IF we could make it thru the snow.
Hang in there--believe it or not, spring is coming.
I say put up the wreath. I started using my Spring purse and I saw someone out today in flip flops. It is 29 degrees! Maybe if you just act like it is spring it really will be spring.
