Someone to watch over me.

Kramer has taken advantage of the fact that I cleared the mantle.  He is up there with "Green Nana", a wonderful glazed ceramic sculpture that I bought at an art exhibit when I first moved up here from The City.  Kramer does NOT watch over me.  He is on Mouse Watch.  Watching over me is Scrappy's job and he takes it very seriously.  He follows me from room to room (other than the few "no-pet zones") and from window to window.  Sometimes, just for the heck of it, I will sneak to the front of the house and burst in the front door to surprise them.  It's becoming obvious that I need a little more of a social life....

LOL! Nothing wrong with some cheap entertainment. We used to "leave" the house , just to catch the dog jumping up on the couch when she heard the door close. You can imagine her look when we busted her.

How in the world did he jump up there without knocking that thing over? That's one talented cat!

That's what I was thinking, Erin - makes me nervous just to see him sitting there next to it!

I think the animals love it when you "mess with their brain" :-)

I find these interactions with the animals far more entertaining than socializing with the two legged set. Of course, I am working on my PHD in hermiting.

If Kramer did see a mousie scurry across the floor, I'd like to see the launch and pounce that would result! Poor mouse would never know what fell on him from the sky above.

Appears a few of us are nervous about your sculpture that looks a smidge top-heavy!

You have the best social life of all. lol I do have to admit that I feel the overwhelming urge to move that sculpture so it doesn't get knocked over. I guess I need a social life too. Sweet kitty who are good mousers are worth their weight in kibble.

Sue - I think it's important to keep our furry charges on their toes - it's our only chance for control!

Erin - The base is solid iron and weighs a ton, so I am not too worried.

Jenyfer - Luckily, he's not interested in it at all.

dr momi - I think you're right - they love the "play" part of everything.

Jane - Ditto, my dear. So, when it comes time to do your orals, to whom do you present for your Hermiting PhD? I think you should be able to just talk to yourself. Or your dogs. Dogs are very wise.

Mama Pea - It would probably drop dead of a heart attack before impact. He is an ace mouser, that one. Now you all are making ME nervous about that sculpture.

CR - "head-on-a-stick" LOVE IT!!!

Rea - I may have to move it now, since all of you are so nervous about it...

Oh please, please move the head on a stick!! I would hate to see it broken!

LOL talk of head on the stick. I'd just move the cat lol! I had a cat long ago that played mind games with me...stare intently like there is something moving next to me and he was gonna pounce and get it. Hey talk to the animals is ok. Wait, maybe I need to get a social life? Oh gosh do I ever!

I'm glad to hear the base is heavy, but the head is mounted SO HIGH, it just looks tippy.

You know that now that the cat has been up there, he's going to want to go back regularly, right???
