I'm over it.
The car goes into the body shop (fingers crossed that the snowfall doesn't exceed even our 'special' area) tomorrow morning. I had a roofer out to assess the damage to my roof from the last snowfall - the same one that collapsed the carport (which purported to stand up to most weather, except for extreme conditions) and after viewing the carnage of my sheered off vents, said that he had never seen anything like it.
I would relish an extended period of boring. I'd like to visit the Land of the Snooze. Let me stay for a while in Hotel Ennui.
Pfft.

Oh so sorry for you! Hang in there!!!!
Oh man. Thought my situation was bad with the coop attack and repairs. Hope you get a break from snow and get all that repaired. Golly.
It's not a great situation with the roof, as both fresh air intake vents are wiped out, along with the caps to almost all of the other vents. I'm waiting for the estimate and hoping for good weather (hahahahaha) So far, the Universe is turning a deaf ear - 8+ inches of snow tomorrow!
What a miserable state of affairs. It may be time to move. Isn't there somewhere in your area with a warmish micro climate? A balmy little hollow somewhere? Failing that I think it is time for the igloo.
Ugh. What caused the shearing off of the roof vents? Large amounts of snow sliding off the roof? Or terrific winds with the falling snow? Ugh, again. Whadda load to have to deal with. :o(
why anyone lives up there is beyond me.
Yikes, what a way to start winter. And to think I used to miss snow.
Sorry you got battered so badly. Hope you get it all repaired shortly. Hang tough.
You're singing to a former Great Lake snowbelt resident. Now I live in the secondary snowbelt. A vast improvement.
It's time for OREGON. You KNOW you want to!!! ššš
Lions and Tigers andVents OH MY!
Well my dear aren’t you the lucky one? Is this snow effect limited to just your property? If so you may want to consider split pea soup and a man of the cloth. If not you may just consider yourself a victim of circumstance.
In any case I feel your pain. Keep us posted as to the progress . At the worst there are only 76 days until Spring. At least on the calendar.
Okay, Universe, give Susan an effing break now!
Eegad. That's horrible about the roof(s)...never seen anything like it...I've heard that before!!!
All of the above, along with poor installation, I'm thinking.
I'm starting to wonder myself.
I'm hoping, Leigh, that this is the worst winter will have to offer.
Thanks, FFG. I'm hanging by my fingernails (such as they are), but hanging on I am.
I'm a Lake Effect past resident, myself. I grew up on the southern shore of Lake Erie, so snow is nothing new - it's just more expensive!
You always make me feel better, bless your heart! xo
Yeah, Universe! Listen to Debra - or else!
Eegad is right. I'd rather be special in so many other ways... :)
(You ARE special in so many other ways!!!)
I's so sorry you had to go through all that and are probably still dealing with it. I love snow but not the destructive accident causing kind.
Funny how my problems seem so terrible until I read this and realize how lucky I have been. Hugs!
You are most welcome.
