Well....

No matter how often I hear the weather forecast that predicts the first snow, it always takes me by surprise.  It had just started falling, very gently, last night and this morning we had three inches fluffed up on the deck.  Lovey has never seen snow.  It only slowed her down for one nanosecond before she embraced it wholeheartedly and went romping off through the poultry yard - flinging nosefuls of it in the air.  Pepper was not as impressed, to put it mildly.  I had to forcibly remove him from his burrito wrapping, bed hair and all, and plop him unceremoniously on the path I had shoveled for him.  He gave me a withering glance over his shoulder before stalking off down the steps.  Where he left me a nice little present/bomb right in the middle of where I have to walk.  Touche!

I am 99% finished with his first sweater - having cobbled it together with odd lots from my stash.  At least it is washable and not pink.  I'm saving the pink for my girl...

(Seeing this pic reminds me that I left the latest mouse carcass on the bird feeder - off camera to the left.  Thank goodness (haha) it's not going above the mid 30s today.)

Zing! Pepper really did get back at ya good.
You're going to post pics of the snausage dog in the sweater, right? Would rather see that than the snow.

Wowzer, you did get it. It sure looks like more than 3" in the pic! Pepper the Pooper is eagerly awaiting your finishing his sweater now, I'm betting. Once he puts that on (and may not want to take it off for several months) he'll have more than bed hair.

I'm echoeing Carolyn . . . we must have pictures.

Carolyn - I will take pictures this weekend. If I can get my bum in gear, I will finish it tonight. Or tomorrow morning at 4A. He better appreciate it.

Mama Pea - It was very light and fluffy snow, the kind I love. It comes floating down in clumps. I am sure the shine will wear off pretty darn soon. I wish I could get a picture of him when I first unroll him from his fleece wrappings - it's a hoot.

Writing from the Maritimes and us too...quite a bit of snow. I always wanted a 'sausage' dog. They can be quite stubborn though.

Nothing like a withering stare from a disgruntled dog! What are you knitting for yourself this knitting season?

Susan,

Now that's some snow. While I was down in TX taking care of my mom my husband was back home shoveling snow paths for our critters to walk out and do their business too. Hubby stated the dog refused to go outside, he had to pickup the dog and carry him out to the snow covered grass.
