Bad, bad, April!

Since I did, indeed, listen to last night's weather forecast, the view out my sliding glass doors this morning should not have shocked me.  But it did.  Not to mention what it did to little Miss Southern Girl, who has never seen snow.

Nor should I have been shocked that my car was encased in a shell of ice.  But I was.

I am so over winter.  I am.

It snowed here but it didn't lay. Thank God! I need warmth and sun.

Geez! I used to wish I lived in Minnesota or Wisconsin. I am so over that! It's breezy and 60 right now, and sunny. Not too bad!

My pictures of outside our door would look just like yours today. Raised beds are covered again. I think I'm numb about the whole weather situation now. (But a lovely 60° day might jolt me out of it.)

We got some snow the other night. I was not expecting it and when I woke up I was a little surprised. I'm ready for sunny and 75 for sure!
Winter go away!

I'm am so sorry...Winter must end sometime, don't you think? Our weather has been very nice...in fact the weeds are so high I just purchased a new gas powered heavy duty weed whacker! In my whole life I never thought I would do that...I'm a Hula-Hoe and hand weeder kinda' gal...but these things have become a jungle overnight!...I'm getting too old to spend hours weeding.

I grew up in an area with a 90 day growing season...one year I actually got in 110 days..yipee! Then the following year it was 72 frost free days! Somehow it all averages out but as I think of budded fruit trees I sigh! I bet poor Lovely was in shock!

Did you wear your sweater? Hummnn Didjaa Didjaa? :) I had to go there!

Bless you!

Mama Pea - Eek! I have to keep reminding myself that I WANT to live in the north.

SLF - You have had a loooong winter up there. I hope your spring comes soon (along with ours).

WVH - Apology accepted. :)

Lynda - My gosh, it DOES have to end, doesn't it? I don't blame you - as much as I love the arm-powered tools, it gets harder to operate them as we (ahem) get older.

Fiona - Dear Voice of My Conscience....I've got two inches of the last sleeve to go! I aim to have it finished by the end of the weekend and will steam press it and post it!
